Developing Innovative Educational Methodology on M. Okada’s Philosophy

Overview

The primary goal of this program is to foster innovation in educational design of the M. Okada Philosophy (OP) for diverse, multi-cultural audiences and to compile related educational and historical reference materials that support and enhance the learning and experiencing of its Philosophy.                                

A second goal is to investigate the impact that Johrei philosophy and its applied lifestyle have had in the lives of Johrei practitioners, their families and friends.  It will be summarized as “Johrei Lifestyle: Idea in Practice so as to serve the practitioners as well as the community.”

2003  

Research activity of Mokichi Okada at the   National Archives, Washington DC. 2003         

Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers (SCAP), General Douglas MacArthur during the Occupation of Japan following World War II, had investigated on Mokichi Okada and his undertaking on Johrei, Art and Nature Farm during 1940’s. Project members: Y. Japanese Kata (Form) Wisdom Experience Workshop Design and its Focused Group Studies  Project

Project members: Dr. L. Rosenberg, Y. Kato, K. Kano, S. Yoshinami, S. Asano.  The workshops were conducted at the Washington DC Local Noetic Study Group, US & Japan Student Conference and the Center for the Science of Life. 100 participants.

Research & Development on Johrei Philosophy and its Innovative Educational Methodology: Designing for the 21 Century                                           

Intensive research and studies to innovate educational methodology on Johrei philosophy have been conducted at the Graduate School of Applied Healing Arts, Tai Sophia Institute, Laurel, Maryland. Two additional studies were conducted with the Team Management & Leadership Program at Landmark Education Corporation to develop the Campaign for J-healing presences and its volunteer structure and at Maryland Association for Nonprofits to strengthen its nonprofit management.
