MOFA Washington DC Statement of June 5th, 2004

We live in a global information society where traditional authority, values and frameworks are being broken down and mankind is entering an unknown future. We are facing such global issues as conflicts between nations, races, religions and ideologies; environmental destruction; terrorism; and the loss of human and family values. It is an urgent task for every one of us to realize the spirituality within so that we can restore the balance between mind and body, relationship, family and social harmoney. We establish MOFA to translate Mokichi Okada’s philosophy from a religious framework in order to offer practical solutions to the issues we face in the 21st century. It is our hope that people all over the world will benefit from the applied philosophy of Mokichi Okada.

· MOFA will focus on the innovative Johrei method that is the core of Mokichi Okada’s philosophy.

• MOFA will conduct research and development to demonstrate the benefits of Johrei to all people.
• MOFA will engage activities to apply its principles and philosophies for sustainable agriculture, air and water quality.
• MOFA will equip leaders from different fields with Mokichi Okada’s philosophy, which reaches beyond language, cultural and political boundaries.
• MOFA will cultivate harmony and spirituality through the promotion of art and beauty.
